There are many 2023 games to look forward to in the upcoming year, including those we anticipated playing last year. We are finally getting a number of eagerly anticipated launches in the first quarter of the year, including Atomic Heart, Kerbal Space Program 2, and The Last of Us Part 1 on PC.

For the third year in a row, more high-profile games are willing to delay their release dates in order to gain a little extra development time. not once, not even once. Before they ultimately arrive in our game library, some are still experiencing repeated delays. Given that, let's refer to this as a preliminary list of 2023 games. Some of the names here will inevitably be relegated to the year 2024, which is a terrifying number for me to even have to type. As we did the year before, we'll be monitoring when they do right here.

According to what we currently know, 2023 will be a major year for RPGs. Many popular series with long-awaited sequels plan to release them this year. Starfield was postponed until the beginning of 2023; Baldur's Gate 3's early access is expected to expire in August with a full release; and Final Fantasy 16 and Diablo 4 are also expected to appear.
