Sarvapally Radhakrishnan in 1888

One of the greatest Indian philosophers of all time is Dr. sarvapally Radhakrishnan. He was born in Tamil Nadu on 5^th September, 1888. He completed his education from Presidency College of Chennai.  He worked as the Professor of Philosophy at Presidency College of Calcutta and Chennai. He even worked in Oxford University for a long time. He was sent to the erstwhile USSR as an Indian Ambassador. He was elected as the Indian the vice-president of India and worked in that post for a decade.  Then he was elected as the Indian President and his President ship ran till 1967. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna too. As a mark of respect for his teachings to the academic scene of India, his birthday is observed as the Teachers Day in India.  

সর্বকালের সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ ভারতীয় দার্শনিকদের মধ্যে একজন ছিলেন সর্বপল্লী রাধাকৃষ্ণন। তিনি 5 সেপ্টেম্বর, 1888 সালে তামিলনাড়ুতে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। তিনি চেন্নাই প্রেসিডেন্সি কলেজ থেকে তার শিক্ষা সম্পন্ন করেন। কলকাতা ও চেন্নাইয়ের প্রেসিডেন্সি কলেজে তিনি দর্শনশাস্ত্রের অধ্যাপক হিসেবে কাজ করেন। তিনি অক্সফোর্ড বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়েও দীর্ঘদিন ধরে কাজ করেছিলেন। তাকে ভারতীয় রাষ্ট্রদূত হিসাবে পূর্ববর্তী এসএসএস পাঠানো হয়েছিল। তিনি ভারতের উপরাষ্ট্রপতি নির্বাচিত হন এবং এক দশক ধরে সেই পদে কাজ করেন। এরপর তিনি ভারতীয় রাষ্ট্রপতি নির্বাচিত হন এবং তাঁর রাষ্ট্রপতি জাহাজ 1967 সাল পর্যন্ত দৌড়ে যায়। তাঁকে ভারত রত্নও দেয়া হয়। ভারতের একাডেমিক দৃশ্যের প্রতি তার শিক্ষার প্রতি সম্মান হিসাবে, তাঁর জন্মদিন ভারতের শিক্ষক দিবস হিসাবে পালন করা হয়।
